Liverpool

The origin of the city's name is traditionally connected with the mythological Liver Bird (pronounced "lyver"), a seagull-like bird seen in the city's coat of arms. Nowadays, Liverpool is related with the famous band "The Beatles" and the famous football team that has the same name of the city "Liverpool football club". 1) Cavern Club:

The Cavern Club is one of the Liverpool's top music venues and the reason is because "The Beatles" made performances on this club 50 years ago. In this bar you can enjoy music from soloists and cover bands most afternoons and evenings.

The club is open daily from 10.30am. Free admission all day and every evening Monday to Wednesday.

There is a small admission charge Thursday to Sunday evenings. Families with children are welcome to visit the club during the day.

Also you would see the trophies, medals, t-shirts, etc. Visitors can take a tour through the "Halls of Fame", dedicated to stars of the past and present.
